Men Women Championship Leaders
For the 2008 season the Pacific Northwest X-C Ski Division will recognize a senior/master cross country ski champion. Points will be tabulated throughout the season based on results. The competitors with the most points at the end of the season will receive the Pacific Northwest Senior/Master Nordic Cup title. Note the change from last year—there will be no separate title for senior vs. masters.
Races to be scored:
All divisional races on the PNSA calendar. Out-of-division races even if on the calendar will not be scored. At this writing, the races on the PNSA calendar are:

Have a favorite race which is not on the PNSA calendar? Contact your race director and get them to list the race with PNSA. The fees go to support nordic racing in the Pacific Northwest. Listing with PNSA may help increase race participation.
Scoring:
The SuperTour scoring system will be used. Your points are determined by your place in your year age/gender group—Senior, Masters 1, Masters 2, etc.

Tie-Breaking procedure will be per USSA Nordic Competition Guide. Pursuits are counted as one race. So you just need to beat the guys or gals your age, and you can end up with more points than Kent or Vesa! If you are lucky enough to be racing in M11, why you just need to finish a race or two. If you are IN Kent or Vesa’s age group, the secret is to DO MORE RACES than they do!

Awards: At the end of the season the two Cup champions, Men and Women, will be recognized and receive prizes from Winthrop Mountain Sports.
