For the 2006-07 season the Pacific Northwest X-C Ski Division will recognize a senior and a master cross country ski champion. Points will be tabulated throughout the season based on results. The competitors with the most points at the end of the season will receive the Pacific Northwest Senior and Master Nordic Champion title.
Races to be scored:
All divisional races on the Pacific Northwest Division calendar. Out-of-division races even if on the calendar will not be scored.
Classes:
Senior – age 20- to 29 men and women
Master – age 30 to infinity men and women
Scoring:
The SuperTour scoring system will be used which scores the top 20 in an event starting with 30 points going to 1st place, 25 points for 2nd , 21 points for 3rd,…. Tie-Breaking procedure will be per USSA Nordic Competition Guide.
Each age group will be ranked and scored separately (5 yr increments) . The overall Pacific Northwest Senior and Master, Women and Men’s Champions will be determined by the best cumulative total of points of a competitor competitions.
Pursuits are counted as one race.
Awards:
At the end of the season the four champions: Senior men, Senior women, Master men and Master women, will be recognized and receive awards.
