LOCAL BEND ATHLETE INJURED AT US SNOWBOARD NATIONALS

 14 year old, Bend resident, Tyler Ekland broke a vertebra in his neck on Sunday, April 1^st, 2007 while practicing a run at the USASA National Championships at Northstar Resort near Lake Tahoe.  He is currently not able to breathe on his own and is paralyzed.  All Central Oregon U.S. Bank branches are accepting donations in Tyler Ekland’s name to help with medical expenses.
