Founded in 1969, PNSEF has built support programs which have helped many athletes pursue their ski racing dreams. Whether earning a spot on the PNSA Jr. Championship team, or making the US Ski Team and winning an Olympic medal, PNSEF recognizes the importance of achieving those dreams. PNSEF grants assist athletes and their families in defraying the cost of racing expenses of Nordic and Alpine competition.
In the mid 1970s, PNSEF pioneered the Elite Pass program with the cooperation of the Pacific Northwest Ski Areas Association (PNSAA). And, over 30 years later, other divisions in USSA are still trying to launch a program like ours.
Another program supported by PNSEF is the PNSA B-net program. PNSEF awarded a $57,000 grant to PNSA for purchasing additional B-net. This purchase will increase PNSA's inventory to 335 rolls of B-net available for member clubs to use. PNSA clubs have access to the B-net at no charge for USSA sanctioned races.
PNSEF also awards scholarships to PNSA athletes who have moved on to college and higher-education, and to coaches who want to further their professional education. Investing in our athletes' and coaches' education helps ensure PNSA stays at the front of coaching and training techniques.
